CraisieMaisie
Miss Maisie (as her formal name is) was born December 10, 2021, an only pup, in the Colombian capital of Bogota. I lost my original miniature pinscher to a big dog in late January of 2022. I set out hunting for a replacement, hoping to find a stag red female with an uncut tail. I saw Miss Maisie in an ad online and fell in love with her eyes! We made a quick trip to Bogota in February, and the owner met us on the main road on our way out of the city. She plopped her on my lap and it was love at first sight for both of us! She weighed less than a pound, and I didn't even notice that she didn't have any tail at all!! It had been docked, but way too short. But what she lacked in tail she made up for in ears, eyes, attitude and love. I brought her home to Canada in March of 2022, and within the week she had broken the elbow on her left front leg. It nearly broke the bank but we saved the leg! Then came weeks of healing, and consequently spoiling since she wasn't supposed to be active...adding to the attitude she already had in full measure. That is when she became Princess Maisie. She didn't become CraisieMaisie until her leg was healed and the pin removed and she could be off her medications for pain and swelling. She now holds various titles, according to her mood. She still is Princess Maisie when she sits regally with her front legs elegantly crossed. She is CraisieMaisie when there is a cat around. She becomes Silly Maisie when she wants to play. And above all she is The Loveable Min Pin when she wants to snuggle, including at night when she lays her little head on her own pillow right beside my own!
